My name is Megan Ladd, I am an artist living in Portland, OR. I work with textiles, paper, paints, and am inspired by traditional crafts and historical techniques of making things. I like when you can really use something and when something is not-so precious.
I didn’t go to school for anything but I have painted murals and made wedding dresses and sewn quilts and cobbled shoes and produced full art exhibits and learned photography and took printmaking and pattern drafting and web design and painted signage and mended a million sweaters -- I try to focus on making art that is important to me which means exploring themes of nostalgia and family and being an Oreognian and feelings. I hope I get to make things forever and continue to learn stuff all the time. Thank you for being here, everything I’ve done in my life has led me to art and I appreciate you taking the time to witness that.
